What sets our roofing apart

  • Insurance claims handled in-house

Former adjusters on our staff, 30+ years of claim experience on the team. We meet your adjuster on the roof and write the supplements ourselves.
  • Owens Corning and GAF shingles

American roofing brands only. For architectural and Class 4 impact-resistant shingles, we reach for Owens Corning and GAF.
  • Crews that have stayed

Eight full crew teams, and crews who've worked side by side with us for over 20 years. It's why a one-day re-roof is routine around here, not a stunt.
  • Veteran owned, registered and insured

2,800+ projects completed out of San Antonio. We don't pack up and leave town when hail season winds down.
  • Free roof evaluations

Free roof evaluations and free estimates, in both metros. You'll get a straight answer on repair versus replacement before you sign anything.

Residential Roofing Services in San Antonio

A drip in the hall closet. Hail that rattled the gutters overnight. An old roof shedding granules into the downspouts, or a new house framed and waiting on a roof so the drywall crew can start. Those are the calls we take, and we handle all of them.

Re-roofing? Start with asphalt shingle roofing. After a hail claim, most Bexar County homes go back with architectural shingles from Owens Corning or GAF. If your insurer gives a discount for Class 4 impact-resistant shingles, they're worth pricing out. And if you honestly don't know what shape the roof's in, book a roof inspection first. The free evaluation covers shingles, flashing, pipe boots, decking and the attic side, and you get a written report you can hand straight to your insurer.

Builders and developers bring us in for new construction roofing on single-family, multi-family and apartment projects.

Then there's the water once it's off the roof. A Texas downpour has to go somewhere, so we size and install seamless gutters and downspouts formed to the length of each run. No mid-run seams means nothing there to leak. A free roof inspection also catches worn flashing and packed valleys before they show up as a ceiling stain.

Three of our services got big enough to need their own pages: roof repair for leaks, flashing and rotted decking, roof replacement once patching stops making sense, and metal roofing for standing seam and R-panel systems. The rest, from sloped and flat roofs to decking replacement, rot repair and flashing, is regular weekly work for our residential crews.

Repair or Replace? How We Make the Call

Plenty of roofers climb the ladder already planning to sell you a new roof. We'd rather not. A ten-year-old architectural roof with one blown-off section or a failed pipe boot is a repair job, and we'll tell you that to your face. If fixing the damaged area keeps the house dry, that's what we recommend.

So when does replacement make sense? When the roof's past 15 to 20 years in this heat. When hail bruising covers most of the slopes, leaks are turning up in more than one room, or the decking underneath has gone soft. Patching a roof like that is throwing good money after bad. We walk it, photograph what we find and show you the pictures. You make the call.

A rough rule of thumb: damage on less than a quarter of the roof, with solid decking, usually means repair. Widespread hail hits, rot, or a roof that's just plain worn out means replacement, and often an insurance claim.

Hail, Wind and the Insurance Claim

Ask anyone in Helotes about April 12, 2016. Hail up to 4.5 inches came down on Helotes and northwest Bexar County, in what was then the costliest hail event in Texas history. Five years later, on April 28, 2021, one storm split around the city: a state-record 6.4-inch stone in Hondo on one side, baseball hail along I-10 toward Seguin on the other. Up the road, Round Rock took 4-inch hail on September 24, 2023, the costliest storm the Austin region has ever seen. And in 2025 Texas led the country with 902 major hail events.

San Antonio sits in the hail belt. It isn't bad luck. It's the weather we roof for.

So insurance work is a big part of every week here. Our staff includes former insurance adjusters, and our team brings 30+ years of insurance claim experience to every file. The insurance claim process has six steps: a free estimate, meeting the adjuster on your roof, the audit, a supplemental report if the adjuster's scope misses damage, the build, and the final inspection that releases your recoverable depreciation. You don't have to argue line items with your carrier. We'll do it. Yvette D. said it plainly after a tree came down on her roof: "they dealt with the insurance company so I didn't have to." Hail, wind or hurricane damage to the roof and decking? Start at storm damage roof repair.

Where We Work: San Antonio Metro and the Austin Line

If you're hiring a roofing company in San Antonio, it ought to know the whole city, not one side of Loop 410. Our crews are in San Antonio every week, and Stone Oak, Alamo Ranch, Alamo Heights, Helotes and Converse are regular stops. Past the Bexar County line we work New Braunfels, Schertz, Cibolo, Seguin and Boerne. Up north, our Austin line covers Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Pflugerville and the Hays County towns along I-35. Thirteen counties across two metros, with the same crews, the same management and the same free estimate in both. The full list is on our service areas page.

Permits are where the two cities really part ways, so ask any roofer you're considering about them. San Antonio treats a straight re-roof with no change in pitch as an over-the-counter permit at the City's Development Services office. Austin looks looser on paper. Some shingle replacements that don't touch the structure are exempt, but historic districts and bigger jobs change the rules fast.

Got an HOA? Under Texas Property Code 202.011, it can't block impact-resistant shingles that match the neighborhood's look and hold up at least as well as what it already allows. And if a roofer can't tell you whether your job needs a permit, keep shopping.

What a Roof Project Looks Like With Texas-RRR

First comes the free roof evaluation. A crew lead gets up on the roof, photographs every slope, checks the attic for daylight and staining, and writes up a scope. If there's a claim, we set the adjuster meeting and stand up there with them. Once you approve the scope, we order materials and put a crew on the calendar.

Most single-family re-roofs take a day. Tear-off comes first, then decking repairs wherever the wood's gone soft, new underlayment and flashing, and finally shingles and ridge, with cleanup that same afternoon. Alma T. put it this way: "Materials were ordered promptly and once the work began, it was nonstop until the job was completed. The roof looks great!!"

We're proud of how fast we move. Marco P. wrote: "Came out for the estimate Friday, had a guy on site the next day!" Will that happen every time? No, and we won't promise it. But eight crews who've worked together for decades keep our schedule moving faster than a two-truck outfit's. Read more on how we work, learn who we are, or request your free estimate and we'll take it from there.

Why San Antonio Homeowners Call Texas-RRR

Ask who'll actually do the install. With us, it's crews that have been here for over 20 years, run by an owner, Charlie Carreon, who's put in 30 years on roofs. Texas-RRR is veteran owned, registered and insured, and that kind of continuity is how you get to 2,800+ projects completed and a 5.0 Google rating.

  • Former adjusters on staff. They read a claim the way the carrier does, then write the supplement for whatever the adjuster missed.
  • American brands only. Our preferred shingle lines are Owens Corning and GAF.
  • Roofing, remodeling and restoration in one company. If the storm hit the rest of the exterior too, the same crew lead documents it on the same claim.
  • Free estimates. Fast, fair and always free, in San Antonio and on the Austin line.

Then there's the motto, and we hold ourselves to it: "Be impeccable not only with our word, but the love we have for our God-given talent!"
