A roofing company in San Marcos, TX, with a line on each side

San Marcos sits on I-35 between San Antonio and Austin, and it's the one city on our map we serve from both. Looking for a roofing company in San Marcos, TX? You can call either line. The San Antonio number is (210) 802-6906 and the Austin line is (512) 571-3371. Same crews either way.

Texas-RRR is veteran owned, with 2,800+ projects completed and 8 full crew teams, and owner Charlie Carreon has spent 30 years in the roofing trade. San Marcos is part of our Hays County roofing coverage, which also reaches Kyle up the interstate and Wimberley to the west.

Wind first, then hail

Wind does a lot of the damage here. On May 9, 2024, San Marcos reported significant wind and hail damage, with downed trees and power lines that closed Purgatory Creek Natural Area, and a 65 mph gust tore part of a church roof in town. A year later, storms reported on May 23, 2025 flipped planes upside down at San Marcos Regional Airport, and the airport advisory chairman blamed wind shear or a microburst.

Wind lifts shingle tabs, breaks the seal strip and leaves the roof open to the next rain. Our San Marcos wind and hail damage work starts with a walked inspection and photos of every slope, so an adjuster can follow the file. Our in-house former adjusters help when a carrier wants to pay for a patch instead of a roof.

The river that shaped the east side

During the May 23-24, 2015 Memorial Day flood, the Blanco River crested at 43.08 feet in San Marcos after sitting below 15 feet just hours earlier. The city later received 33.79 million dollars in federal disaster recovery funds in 2016 and 24.01 million in mitigation funds in 2019, including a 20.8 million dollar Blanco riverine flood project. The HUD-funded Blanco Gardens drainage project, with new storm sewers and concrete channels, held its ribbon cutting at River Road and Cape Street on January 14, 2025.

Any roof that went on after the 2015 flood is now about ten years old. That is a good age for a check. Small leaks around vents are cheap to fix and expensive to ignore, and roof repair in San Marcos is most of what we do here.

Rentals, campus streets and commercial roofs

Texas State University counted 47,513 students on its fall 2026 census day, up 7 percent over the year before. That means a lot of rental housing. Landlords tend to want a fast repair, clear photos and an invoice that makes sense to an owner who lives elsewhere. We do that.

For flat and low-slope buildings, our commercial roofing crews handle repair and replacement on retail, offices and multi-family roofs. On an older flat roof, we'd usually take a solid repair over a rushed tear-off.
