Our Story

The Texas-RRR Story: Veteran-Owned Roofing Built on Our Word

Texas-RRR is a veteran-owned roofing, remodeling and restoration company based in San Antonio. Eight full crew teams work across the San Antonio and Austin metros. Owner Charlie Carreon has 30 years of roofing experience, many crews have stayed with him for over 20, and the company counts 2,800+ completed projects. Good numbers. They still aren’t the Texas-RRR story, though. That lives in the people and the jobs: a roof replaced in one day during Hurricane Harvey, say, or a tree-damage claim fought all the way to full approval.

To Be Impeccable In Our Word and Love For Our God-Given Talents in Building

That line heads the Texas-RRR About page, and it’s about as close to a founding document as the company has. The motto behind it is shorter and blunter: “Be impeccable not only with our word, but the love we have for our God-given talent!” Read it twice. The first half is about keeping promises. The second half is about taking the work seriously, right down to the flashing nobody will ever see.

Every roofing company in San Antonio says it has integrity. At Texas-RRR it’s closer to a job requirement, and a pretty literal one. A crew that says it’ll finish the roof in a day finishes it that day. A claim that needs a supplemental report gets one, written by somebody on staff. That’s about the whole philosophy, and it’s why the rest of this page is about people instead of milestones.

What Texas-RRR stands by

You won't find a founding-year plaque on a wall at Texas-RRR. What the team points to instead is a track record, and these are the parts of it they bring up most.
  • Veteran owned

Texas-RRR is proudly veteran owned, and you can see it in how a job runs. There's a plan, a crew lead and a start time. The cleanup standard doesn't slide on day three, either.

  • An owner with 30 years on roofs

Owner Charlie Carreon has 30 years of roofing experience. He's usually the one who comes out for the estimate and walks the roof, so the person pricing your job has spent three decades learning what to look for.

  • Crews side by side for 20+ years

Many of the crews have worked side by side with Charlie for over 20 years. Today there are eight full crew teams running jobs in San Antonio and Austin.

  • 2,800+ projects completed

Roof repairs, replacements and storm claims, spread over two metros. Each one teaches the team something about planning the next.

  • 30+ years of insurance claim experience

The in-house staff includes former insurance adjusters. They've sat on the other side of the table, so they know what your adjuster needs to see before a claim gets approved.

  • The motto

Be impeccable not only with our word, but the love we have for our God-given talent!

Charlie Carreon, owner of Texas-RRR

Owner and blog author

Charlie Carreon, Owner

Carlos “Charlie” Carreon owns Texas-RRR, a veteran-owned company based in San Antonio. Read the company’s Google reviews and his name comes up again and again. Customers call him honest about repairs and costs, say he responds fast, and mention seeing him out on the job with his crew. He isn’t the whole story, though. Charlie brings 30 years of roofing experience, but behind him there are eight full crew teams, and some of those crews have been on the same roofs with him for over 20 years.

Most homeowners never see the paperwork side. The in-house staff includes former insurance adjusters, and between them the company counts 30+ years of insurance claim experience. After a hailstorm rolls through Bexar County, that experience can decide whether a claim pays for a patch or for the whole roof. So Texas-RRR handles roof insurance claims from the first inspection through recoverable depreciation instead of handing the paperwork back to the homeowner.

Charlie is the author of record for the Texas-RRR blog. The guides there cover roof insurance claims, storm damage and roofing materials for Central Texas homeowners. Each one cites its outside sources, like Texas statutes and the Texas Department of Insurance, and gets fact-checked before it goes up. Does a guide not quite match your situation? Call (210) 802-6906 and ask for Charlie.

Home base is San Antonio. From there the crews cover the San Antonio metro and run up the I-35 corridor to Austin, Round Rock and the Hill Country, and there’s a dedicated Austin line for that side of the map.

Three moments that tell the story better than a timeline

Ask the team what the Texas-RRR story is about and you'll get stories, not a brochure. These three come straight from customers.

A roof in one day, in the middle of Hurricane Harvey

C. Ybarra needed a new roof right when the company was busy helping families hit by Hurricane Harvey. The crew did both. In the customer’s words: “In the middle of helping victims from Hurricane Harvey, their team managed to replace my roof in one day.” That’s what full crew teams are for, really. Enough hands to say yes to a neighbor without walking away from the disaster work.

Estimate on Friday, crew on site Saturday

Marco P. called for an estimate. Somebody came out Friday, and a roofer was on site the next day. His review ends with the line the team likes best: “I’ll definitely be calling this company when the next storm blows in.” It wasn’t a stunt. With eight full crew teams on the schedule, nobody needs a meeting to put a crew on a roof.

A tree on the roof, and a claim handled end to end

When a tree fell on Yvette D.’s roof, she called Texas-RRR. The team inspected the roof with her claims adjuster, pushed back on an offer that covered only part of the roof, and got the whole roof approved. Then they repaired and upgraded it in one day. Her review puts it plainly: “they dealt with the insurance company so I didn’t have to.” None of that happens without former adjusters on staff.

Where the story goes from here

Charlie has more of the company’s history to share, and this page will grow as he does, so check back. The standard won’t change. It’s still a veteran-owned team, with an owner who has 30 years of roofing experience, crews that have stayed for over 20, and former adjusters on staff for every storm claim. Want the short version of who Texas-RRR is? Start on the About page. You can also walk through how a Texas-RRR job runs from the first estimate to the final inspection, or just reach out and talk to the team. The rest of the Texas-RRR story is still being written, on roofs in San Antonio and Austin.
