Which Commercial Buildings in San Antonio Get Shingles
Plenty of people assume every business roof is flat. Drive down Broadway or McCullough and you'll see otherwise. Law firms, dentists and insurance agents work out of old houses with pitched roofs, and a lot of churches and clubhouses are covered in the same architectural shingles you'd find on a home. That's commercial shingle roofing, the steep-slope half of our commercial roofing work. The shingles are familiar. The job isn't. There are more squares, more people walking in and out under the crew, and an owner or a board who needs a written scope before anybody climbs a ladder. Somebody has to plan the work around open hours, and the crew has to be big enough to finish instead of dragging on for two weeks. Here's who calls us most:
- Professional offices in converted homes along Broadway, McCullough and the side streets around Alamo Heights.
- Churches, fellowship halls and parish offices, a lot of them with tall, steep naves.
- HOA clubhouses, pool houses, rec centers.
- Daycares, small clinics and vet offices sitting on a residential frame.
- Strip centers from the 1970s and 1980s with a shingle mansard wrapped around a flat roof.
Watch out for that last one. Customers see the mansard, but the flat roof hiding behind it is what handles the rain. We get up on both. If the low-slope part needs attention, it goes on the same estimate under our flat roofing scope.
