Roofing under a protected night sky
On February 11, 2014, the International Dark-Sky Association named Dripping Springs the first International Dark Sky Community in Texas and the sixth in the world. The city had adopted its Outdoor Lighting Ordinance back in 2000, after rapid growth, more than a decade before the designation.
A roofing job rarely involves lighting, but soffit and eave fixtures sometimes come down during a tear-off or gutter work. In Dripping Springs, we put them back exactly the way they were, and we don't swap in brighter ones. If a fixture is damaged, we tell you before we touch it. We think that's the least a roofing company in Dripping Springs, TX, should do in a town that cares this much about its sky.
