A roofing contractor for the county that adds a subdivision a week

Williamson County put 8,179 brand-new homes on the appraisal roll in 2025 alone, and every one of them sits on the hail track that runs up I-35 from Round Rock to Granger. Roofing here mostly comes down to that. New shingles by the thousand, on open prairie, under some of the most active hail skies in Central Texas.

The Williamson Central Appraisal District carried 292,430 county-only accounts for 2025, including 234,235 residential accounts, against a county market value of 183.6 billion dollars. Preliminary WCAD figures put the total at 184.69 billion, up 14.41 billion (8.47 percent) in a single year, with residential value above 108.72 billion. The 2025 new-construction count is actually down from the 2022 peak of 12,066 homes, which tells you how much builder-grade shingle stock went in during the boom years and is now aging into its first real storm cycle.

Texas-RRR is a veteran-owned roofing contractor serving Williamson County through our Austin line, (512) 571-3371. Our crews work in Round Rock, Georgetown, Leander, Cedar Park, Hutto and Liberty Hill, backed by Charlie Carreon's 30 years in roofing, 8 full crew teams and in-house staff who used to adjust claims for the carriers.

Hail damage roof repair across Williamson County

Start with the dates. On September 24, 2023, hail up to 4 inches fell on Round Rock in what the National Weather Service called the most costly storm ever to hit the Austin region, with the damage split about evenly between Williamson and Travis counties. On April 22, 2025, hail just over an inch wide fell across Georgetown and east Round Rock. Before those two, May 2020 brought baseball-size hail to northwest Georgetown, and April 15, 2021 was called the worst hailstorm of that year across both counties.

Wind belongs on the list too. On March 21, 2022, an EF1 tornado with 100 mph winds struck Jarrell from 5:51 to 6:13 PM, part of the same evening of tornadoes that tracked from Round Rock toward Granger. The Granger NWS radar lost power for about two hours that night. Hutto, on the east edge of the September 2023 hail cluster, caught the tail end of that one as well.

Our hail damage roof repair in Williamson County means somebody actually climbs up there. We chalk the strikes, photograph each slope, and write it up so an adjuster can follow it. Because our in-house team includes former insurance adjusters with 30+ years of claim experience, we know what the carrier will argue before they argue it. If you'd rather not deal with the paperwork at all, our insurance claim help runs the six-step process for you.

Roof inspections for builder-grade roofs that have never been checked

WCAD reappraised 93 percent of Williamson County homes in 2025 by aerial inspection rather than field visits. The county values your roof from the air. Nobody has walked it.

That matters most in the newest neighborhoods. Leander and Liberty Hill roofs from the last five years have never seen an inspector since the day the builder's crew left. Cedar Park carries a 1990s-to-2010s stock that's reaching the age where sealant strips let go and pipe boots crack. A roof inspection in Williamson County from Texas-RRR is free, and it ends with a written report you keep whether or not you hire us. For what it's worth, most of those new roofs are fine. When one isn't, it's usually the flashing or the ridge that let go, and that's a repair job.

Metal roofing from the Hill Country edge to the prairie

Williamson County covers 1,118.3 square miles of land and climbs from 400 feet in the east to 1,360 feet in the west, with Lake Georgetown on the San Gabriel River and Granger Lake as its main reservoirs. West of I-35 the ground turns to limestone hills, and that's where metal roofing demand runs hottest. Liberty Hill and Leander buyers ask for standing seam by name because it shrugs off the hail that bruises asphalt, and because it fits the Hill Country look.

East of the interstate, on the prairie clay around Hutto and Taylor Road, most homeowners stay with architectural shingles and ask for an impact-rated line instead. We install both. For shingles we work with Owens Corning and GAF, and we'll tell you plainly whether a metal roof is worth the premium on your house.

Permits, cities and how we cover Williamson County

Every city in the county runs its own permit desk, and the rules aren't the same from one exit to the next. Round Rock doesn't require a permit for a like-for-like residential re-roof, though it does require drip edge on every eave. Georgetown is the opposite case for historic properties: a roof on an Old Town house needs a certificate of appropriateness before work begins. We check the local rule before we order materials, every time.

Our Williamson County coverage includes Leander, Cedar Park, Hutto and Liberty Hill, with Brushy Creek served alongside Round Rock and Sun City served as part of Georgetown. The county is part of our Austin metro service area, which also covers Travis County to the south and Bastrop County to the southeast. The full list of counties and cities lives on our service areas page.

Texas-RRR is based in San Antonio and dispatches Austin-metro work through the (512) 571-3371 line. Estimates are free. Call, or send us the address and a photo of the roof, and we'll give you our honest read on it.
